After my friend took the classes & started to work as a MA she started out with with 11/hr, which is shit. She couldn’t work just that job just to live here in Florida on her own so she had to get another job until she could find better pay. For how much her schooling was & the hr pay I’d say go for RN or find some where that pays more if it’s anything like her situation where your at. If your married or have another income with that, then it would be a lot easier to be a MA.

MAs make about $11-12 an hour here. For the time and money spent in school for it, I’d go LPN or RN instead and you’ll get double (if not more) the income.

Absolutely :) medical jobs are always going to be some of the safest and most in demand on the market. You just have to temper your expectations. Unless you’re with a partner that makes a lot, you’re not going to be living the high life. No one needs a horribly expensive house and fancy cars.

You can make around $20/hr. It depends on where you live and what kind of lifestyle you’re trying to live. I’m in CA and you would end up in the hood in a studio at $20/hr. However, in places like GA, AL, TN, etc., you could get away with it and live somewhere ok. Personally, I couldn’t spend the rest of my life making $20/hr but everyone is different.
