Will bed rest help with spotting in early stage of pregnancy ??

Hi guys  I am 3 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I had a miscarriage two months ago and last night saw a little spotting!!! Thanks god no more spotting so far!!! But I’m terrified!!!! I don’t want to remember my previous miscarriage!!! But I just cannot ignore it!!! Is it going to be another one!!! Do you think bed rest can prevent spotting or early miscarriage???

Spotting can be normal in early pregnancy. As long as it's not bright red bleeding you're probably fine. Cervical irritation is common in early pregnancy because of the increased blood flow and hormones. I had brown/pink spotting for about 12 hours at week 7 this pregnancy and am now sitting pretty at 18 weeks.

No, early miscarriages happen due to problems with the baby’s development, not activity from the mother. Bed rest actually does more harm than good and that’s why they only recommend it for very specific circumstances

Unfortunately, no. Miscarriages in the early days are due to defects and cannot really be prevented.
On the bright side, not every spotting means a miscarriage.
I spotted with my 1st and 2nd and continued to carry them to term and they’re both totally healthy. All you can do is wait. Consult your doctor, they may want to do a blood test and repeat it in a couple of days. An ultrasound this early won’t show much so won’t be beneficial.

Probably not. Miscarriages are due to abnormal development.  It’s not something that can be prevented unfortunately.
