Is it possible to have a yeast infection but test negative for it? I thought I had a uti at first because it burned when I peed so I got put on antibiotics on 1/25. By 1/28 I itched and burned down there so bad so I thought maybe it was a yeast infection? I got some monistat and it helped for a little bit but the itchiness and burning sensation came back. So I went to my ob/gyn and the nurse said it definitely looked like yeast, but I tested negative for yeast, bacterial vaginosis and trichomonas. The nurse messaged me and said she still thinks it's yeast. Has this ever happened to anyone and it ended up being something else?
