Anyone have experience with pneumonia?
So my dad got tested for COVID late December and tested negative, but then they called and said it was positive, and THEN said it was a false negative and an intern was making mistakes 🤨 like wtf... he got tested again bc of the confusion and it was negative.
Well he was having shortness of breath and turns out he has an irregular heart beat and a spot on his lung but they were mostly concerned about his heart....
They proscribed heart medicine and he went on his way... well after that my dad went to rehab for alcohol in Michigan for a month and tested negative there the whole time... he came home a few days ago (negative) and last night he couldn’t breath so my mom took him to the ER(the same one that tested him to begin with)....
He’s still testing negative and he is on oxygen... come to find out he has pneumonia.
Now they are saying it’s bc he had Covid... like wtf! They are saying he could have had pneumonia this entire time. He does cough but he is also a smoker 😢
The doctor isn’t sure if he will be “ok” and I don’t know what stage the pneumonia is but I think it goes without saying, a month can do some damage...
Just wondering if anyone has experience with something like this? I’m stressing out about if my dad will be ok...
