UK MOMS- Did you pay for a private gender scan or wait until 20 week scan?

I paid for a private gender scan with my 1st which was £65. I'm now pregnant with my 2nd and I'm undecided whether to pay again or just wait the extra 4 weeks and find out for free...

Didn't find out the gender, but we went for a private scan anyway because partner wanted one (one of those 3d scans). If I was to find out the gender though, I think I would wait until the 20 week scan unless I also wanted a 3d scan. I wouldn't pay so much to find out the gender slightly earlier.

Can you not find out with genetic screening? Is that not an option in the UK?
