So on 1/16 (2 1/2 weeks ago) I took misoprostol (Cytotec) for a missed miscarriage. It was week 8 baby died at week 6. That night I had bad cramps and passed 2 large clots.

The next day and for two weeks I had minimal red and brown spotting, not even enough for a pad.

On 1/29 I went to my follow up appointment and they didn’t do an ultrasound but a pelvic exam and said it was all gone. That night I started bleeding heavily and passing clots. Yesterday I passed several large and small clots and today as well ( not enough to fill up 2 pads in an hour).

I am wondering if it’s more miscarriage material or my period? It seemed like the miscarriage didn’t bleed much. Also I have fibroids which grew while I was pregnant and can cause heavy periods, maybe the uterus/fibroids shrinking is causing clotting? I do not feel faint or have a fever.
