I was a radio dj at a career and technical program where we learned a lot about media and identifying trustworthy vs fake news sources. Overall, there are many of each. I trust the news sources I listen/read regularly. This is primarily NPR. Due to FCC regulations on news funded by taxpayer dollars there are many requirements concerning the legitimacy of their stories and they must also provide equally as much time to Democratic and Republican representatives if they choose to have any on their stations. It is a great choice for someone interested in hearing relatively unbiased news from the station hosts.

Of course not, if you look into things deeper then you'll find they are lying and spreading propaganda. There is an agenda, there are limits to what the mainstream media can talk about, and bias definitely exists in journalism.

You have to find multiple “trustworthy” sources and compare. You cannot take anything at face value.

I trust some sources; others not so much. I also do a lot of research, so I can get a feel of what is actually the truth, what is biased, and what is complete bullshit.

There’s really no way to know any news source is trustworthy. That’s why I don’t trust any of them.
