TESE & IVF

Belle • 25 • wife • boy mama

A few months back I posted that my husband had a result of 0 sperm come back on his semen analysis. About a month ago he had a second semen analysis done that confirmed he had 0 sperm in his semen and he was officially diagnosed with azoospermia.

Fast forward to yesterday. We had our second appointment with the urologist and discovered that my husbands azoospermia is non-obstructive. The urologist said in his professional opinion, our best chance at conceiving is doing a TESE procedure on my husband. If they find sperm cells they will freeze them and then we can start the process of IVF. He did warn us that there is a possibility they won’t find any sperm cells during the TESE though.

Does anyone have advice for this situation? Financially, emotionally, etc? I just want to be a mama finally.
