Apple juice?

So I just started baby on solids this week and his pediatrician recommended starting off with cereal mixed with formula or breast milk.. 
well my LO absolutely hates it and ends up just screaming when I try to feed him..
My MIL said instead of water that I’m mixing with the formula I can try apple juice to make it a bit sweeter. Has anyone tried this? And does any apple juice work?

You could try mixing in a little baby food apples 🤷🏻‍♀️
I don’t know how long you tried, but when I’ve introduced a new taste, my baby hates it the first couple attempts. By the third day, he’ll eat it without a fight.

My friend had apple juice too often at too young and now her tooth enamel is permanently ruined.

I tried oatmeal with formula and bananas (my son’s favorite). Big fat NOPE. Kid hates oatmeal. Three times I’ve tried with different ways. Didn’t matter he hated it. So I gave up. We’ll try again later or never. I’m not going to force it. He loves his Bambas and purées and I’m going to try the little cereals instead.

Absolutely no juices at this age. I do formula and mash up banana and my daughter will eat it.

I originally started mixing it with formula but switched to just mixing it with his water and then we add whatever food he’s having that morning, usually a fruit - apples, prunes, pears...

I wouldn’t do juice because of the sugar they put in it but what I like to do it mix it with water and a fruit purée
