Did your July baby get or will be getting the flu shot at 6 month check up?

I chose not to, my pediatrician said flu cases are extremely low this year due to social distancing and that by now the yearly flu strain has mutated anyway. He said we could get it next flu season/this fall.

Yes and it was awful I wish I didn’t because he got so sick he was puking and his fever got to 104

My girl just got hers. We go back in a few weeks for her booster. She is in daycare so I want to keep her safe.

I’m unsure, we’re a month behind on vaccines so my sons 6 month appointment isn’t until feb 25, 4 days before he’s 7 months. That late in the season I’m not even sure if it’s worth it. I got my flu shot and he’s breastfed so I think he gets the antibodies that way? If so then I’ll probably pass.

I was on the fence but my son is starting daycare in less than 2 weeks and if I can avoid any illness I will. So we got it today. If he wasn’t going to daycare, I probably wouldn’t have made him get it since we don’t go anywhere. But again for me it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’ve had the flu twice and it sucked. I don’t want my baby going through that.

I wasn’t planning on it but when they asked if he was getting all his 6 months shots I said yes. I didn’t know that included flu until after.
