Can i eat an edible and be high in front of my child while my husband is home sober?

Question

Weed just became legal in my state (az) and I'm not totally sure how it all works now. Am I allowed to do it around my 1 year old child as long as I don't smoke anything around them our as long as they don't know, and as long as there is a capable and sober adult there in case of emergency? For example, my high school friend is coming to visit and we wanted to eat an edible together at my home. My husband and child will be there. Is there anything illegal about that?
For those commenting about being careful with how it affects me, don't worry I am an experienced smoker lol. Just not legally or with a child. I smoked for 10 years but haven't since I got pregnant

It’s no more illegal than having some wine or beer in front of your child. As long as someone is there and sober to care for them, there’s no issue. 
I do recommend starting with only half of an edible, wait an hour and see how you feel. If you’re not used to them, they can pack a punch and last a while. First time I had one, I was useless on the couch for more than 5 hours and then went to bed. Always start small.

Sure, your husband is there in case there is an emergency or something goes south. Same as having a drink in front of your child

No . It’s not illegal . But I would maybe hangout in a different room as the child until you know how you’ll react to it . But being that your husband will be there to take care of your child and he’ll be sober , it should be fine !

I don’t see it being different than having a beer/glass of wine, and you have someone sober present. With edibles tho. some of them can be really potent, so I’d be careful and only eat half of it.

I think its fine if there is a sober responsible adult there to supervise your child. 
I would personally try to be in another room or floor to make sure. But in my opinion nothing wrong with that! Its the same ad if you and ur friend got drunk! Have fun!

My son has seen me high many times (he’s never actually been around me while smoking though) and someone is always sober. I don’t see the problem, but I also know very well how weed affects me. It’s best to keep your distance until you know how it affects you, and start with half the edible and see how you feel especially if you’re not a smoker
