Husband and I are both sick with a cold.. I have him taking this but I don't know what to take myself. I have a sheet my doctor gave me of medicines to take but they're not specific. Has anyone taken this while pregnant?

Acetaminophen is safe, that is the only safe decongestant, and the cough suppressant is category B. I took that for a few days, but only when I felt I really needed it.

Always check the pregnancy categories. I'm sure some people are okay with category C but I just won't risk it (it's a confusing one - either no/limited info on pregnancy in humans or studies in animals show it may be harmful).

I have a horrid cold right now, complete with nasty cough and stuff in my lungs (which I never, ever get) and I'm riding it out with tea, hot showers, and cough drops only. Really sucks but I would rather not risk exposing my baby to a drug with a confusing background.

My dr said to not take more than what's necessary. Aka unless you have all those symptoms, I'd simplify
