Covid vaccine if TTC?

Question

My husband and I have been TTC now for 4 months, and as a teacher, I now have an opportunity to get the . I want to protect myself against the virus, but I’m also scared to get it and have it affect my fertility or an unborn baby if I were to be pregnant. 
I’ve talked with my doctor and he said the benefits outweigh the risks, but I’m still nervous. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Yes!! My Obgyn gave me the full recommendation to get it while TTC and even encouraging pregnant women to get the vaccine. My husband had his two doses and I received my second dose this morning 😊

The vaccine doesn’t come across the placenta so it won’t cause miscarriages if you did get pregnant in that time. It’s not harmful to pregnant women nor does it affect fertility. 
I am pregnant & I am getting mine tomorrow.

Someone was recommending to watch Marta Perez on YouTube- she’s a pregnant OBGYN. I watched 45 minutes worth of info and she really made me feel a lot better about the decision to vaccinate myself. I’m getting it on Saturday and I also work in a school (very closely with students)

My SIL is an epidemiologist. I asked her about this and she said the vaccine doesn’t  affect fertility. The news stories that suggest that are bogus. I am getting it and ttc afterward!

u should be ok to get it. they recommend it for pregnant ppl as well my ob asked but i don’t want it because i’ve been poked with so many needles already during my pregnancy
