Moms that had a two vessel umbilical cord pregnancy, how was your baby’s health after delivery??

Just got diagnosed today at my anatomy scan, have never heard of this condition before. Doc says she doesn’t see any reasons to be worried. So I’m trying to stay positive and hopeful. He’s punching the heck outta my belly already so I know he’s a strong fighter 💙

My auntie had a baby with a 2 vessel cord.  She was very tiny (4 1/2 lbs) at birth but they induced at 36 weeks because her growth had slowed so much.  At 17, she’s still the tiniest of all her siblings (just shy of 5 feet) but very healthy!

My first had a two vessel cord. They did ultrasounds every two weeks and decided at 37 weeks to induce since she seemed to have stopped growing. She was 6lbs 6oz and absolutely perfect. She’s now 7 and
still perfect! Try not to worry, although I know it’s hard.

Sometimes can cause the growth to slow but usually it’s completely fine. I had a two vessel cord and my baby was born in the 50th percentile for weight and the 70th for height so it didn’t affect her at all.
