Am I allowed to eat?

I have a scheduled induction for tomorrow morning at 7am (eeek! And on our anniversary at that!). Does anyone know if you can eat anything beforehand or no?

Yes! Get yourself a nice ass breakfast, cuz you may go along time before eating. 
My induction took 32 hours.
Then time to get to my room and finally eat was even longer.
So girl, eat.

Thanks ladies!! I ate a yummy energy filled breakfast! And surprises of all surprises they let me eat breakfast and lunch here at the hospital! Likely because I’m barely progressing. Just started the pit tho so that might move things along more quickly (and erratically 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Yes. I always eat a plain bagel with plain cream cheese before induction

Definitely eat. Also they allowed me to have clear liquids during labor.

Eat A LOT! During my first labor I wasn’t induced but I was STARVING as soon as my epidural kicked in and they wouldn’t let me eat.

I would eat something small before you go in. I was induced with my first, not scheduled though. I ate dinner at 6pm on Monday and ended up being induced at midnight. I wasn’t able to eat until 11am a little while after I delivered. I definitely would’ve eaten a snack had I known I was going to be induced because they only were able to offer juice and jello once we started.

For sure eat. My induction started at 7am and I didn’t give birth until almost 10pm. I was starving by the time we got settled in our room after midnight. I had a big breakfast before going in.

I was allowed to eat for my induction and all through labor with #1 but I would call and check just to be sure.
