Ovulation pain

I was just wondering if this is normal. This is my first month off the pill for almost 5 years now. I took an ovulation test yesterday and it came out positive. Yesterday I was having some mild cramping, but today it hurts a lot more. It feels slightly worst than my period. It's also only on my right side. I'm not sure if I should be worried or if this is normal.
