Average screen time for toddler?

Hi all! Just curious..how much screentime does your toddler get, if any? I am trying to limit my almost 3 year olds screen time to an hour a day max, however, it always ends up being 2 or 2 and a half hours a day. I am a stay at home mom at the moment, just had baby number 2 in October, am very covid cautious, and live in a pretty cold climate which makes it difficult to get outside a lot. I am feeling quite guilty about this and was wondering what others' average screen time is?

An hour a day....my son wouldn't be able to cope 🤣 it's lockdown #3, we both work and we have a 10 month old too...our toddler has way too much screen time but we wouldn't be able to live without it right now with all these lockdowns. Not much else to do/that's open...he knows Frozen, Coco and Moana by heart, sings along to the songs and does the actions too!

Honestly these are unprecedented circumstances I’d give yourself some slack mama. It’s always good to be mindful of screen time but it won’t be like this for forever❤️

My toddler is almost 2, she probably watches around 1.5 hours a day, but not all at once. We are still home all the time because of the pandemic and live in Canada where it's super cold. If I ever feel guilty about it I just tell myself that once it's nicer outside we'll be going out way more often and not stuck at home. Also the fact that you have a baby as well as a toddler- I think that amount is just fine! If you are feeling guilty about it maybe just make sure it's mostly educational tv.

I have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old. Transitions are hard and sometimes you do what you need to do. It is a phase of life. Give yourself grace and be grateful for the “help” and know it is temporary. ❤️

I go thru days where I actively make sure they don’t have a ton but some days, it’s a lot. Honestly whatever, I’m doing my best, I have 3. 4.5,2.5 and 11m. It’s been a rough year and we live where it’s -20c outside (-4f) so going outside isn’t an option, everything closed so that’s not an option.

I think mine gets 30 mins a day, but my girl is in daycare. I know they play Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and baby shark. As we’ve never said “Mickey” to her and it’s on repeat now 🤣
But my girl will FaceTime with her grandparents every few nights. 
Look, we’re in a pandemic and you just had a 2nd child. Cut yourself some major slack. So what if he gets a few hours of screen time for the next couple of months. I wouldn’t make it 8 hours a day, but 2-4 is certainly manageable. And maybe try to stick to PBS or Animal Planet where he might learn something. Kids at that age are sponges, it’s a great way to learn. 
Then weak down slowly to get him recentered once baby is old enough and you get your strength back. I did this as a nanny to a kid addicted to electronics, lessened it by 15 minutes each day until he never asked for his iPad or tv again.

I don't know what my little ones average screen time is, all I know is that it is way too much and I also want to cut back. It's hard though when I have a new baby who can't walk yet. The TV is such an easy distraction for the two little ones that are constantly getting into trouble and are bored with both covid-19 so many activities outside the home impossible, and also it being the dead of winter so it's too cold for the spend much time outside. But I know it isn't good for them.

I try to limit it to 2 hours. She gets around that on the weekends, but on weekdays, when I’m at work and she’s at the babysitter, it’s closer to less than 1 hour.
