There actually isn’t any scientific evidence that supports implantation bleeding and other symptoms that could accompany it. The entire process happens microscopically. Spotting prior to a BFP or just during pregnancy in general, can happen due to a variety of reasons. It’s not always a toss up between a period and “implantation bleeding”. Anyone can say they’ve experienced it, but, in reality, and as far as science goes, no one can be 100% certain since there isn’t much supporting evidence that it is indeed possible.  One of the main causes of spotting, pregnant or not, is due to fluctuating hormones, or an imbalance within said hormones.

Only with my very first. 
I'm currently bleeding and I think it's a miscarriage but will have to see after a week. My sister in law said that it could also be heavier implantation bleeding. Sometimes it happens. Not every Pregnancy is the same. 
But I'm not sure at all right now. Holding on to hope of course but will just have to wait now and see

Pregnant 7 times (3 successful 4 first trimester losses) and have implantation spotting once. That pregnancy unfortunately was not viable.
