How are y’all doing your showers?

Due to corona , how are y’all going to do your showers? Virtual , small guest list, outdoors? I’m not sure if I want to do one but my family is insisting and my friends are saying that’s where you get most things for baby. So I’m trying to think of the safest way..

I dont plan on doing mine until like end of June so hopefully by then things calm down. I do want to have an in person outdoors one since it’ll be nice and warm in June. But we’ll see 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are going to have a “BabyQue” at the park in May. We are only having close family. We have a 15 month old girl and are having another girl so I decided on a diaper shower since we still have most things from our first.

My friend had a baby last summer. For her surprise baby sprinkle/shower, her sister did part virtual part in person. Immediate female family members and friends were invited in person and all others were virtual. She had all gifts shipped to her house and she wrapped them for everyone. It took place outside. I’m thinking of doing something similar to that.

We are doing an outdoor shower late April! It will be in the front yard so those who don't want to stay can do a drive by if they prefer.

It depends on if we’re having a boy or a girl. If it’s a boy, we won’t do a shower since we already have a 2 year old son. If it’s a girl, we might do something small with close family and friends outside (max 10 people) in our big backyard.

I'm going to do something small in my backyard with just close friends in the late spring, and then family and family-friends are getting a "Shower by Mail" card in the mail with registry info. 
There are some cute templates on Zazzle and other invite websites that have little poems basically about the pandemic and why theres no physical shower, so it seems a little less like directly asking for gifts lol

This is my second so I am not doing one but my girlfriends that have been pregnant during covid did virtual showers and I sent them a gift from
Their registry. Some that had it in the summer were able to do it outside so maybe if you live somewhere warm you could do that?

I’m doing mine in end of May/ beginning of June so I’d love to hold out hope that things will change a bit. But I’m going to do a virtual one for my family out of state and then one local with just my 3 friends I still see. Definitely not as fun but a good excuse to hang with my “covid crew” to celebrate baby girl.

Best friend is throwing me an online one for whoever wants to but MIL insist on doing something with just family as a party sooo letting her do that but only family

Not as fun but safe and then we can really get what we want (and If I change my mind)
