Does eating peanuts while pregnant mean that baby won’t be allergic?

No it doesn’t .the theory is if you introduce them when they are younger that it may possibly keep them from being allergic to them later on but many people are either born allergic to things so to speak or they grow into them. Some people even grow out of allergies. But eating certain foods won’t stop your child from being allergic to things later that’s just truly something the body itsself will decide if it is or isn’t allergic to for lack of better wording to explain it

There have been some studies done that showed that eating foods while breastfeeding baby may have SOME protective factor when it comes to allergies, but definitely look them up for yourself and don’t just take my word for it! I read about it a while ago, and I do try to purposefully to eat a wide variety of things while breastfeeding my son so that hopefully it will help some

That’s not how allergies work. Being exposed to something doesn’t mean that you will or won’t be allergic to it, even in the womb. Food allergies also typically need to develop. When the baby is in the womb, you’re passing nutrients to your baby, they aren’t digesting their own food and won’t until after they are born. An allergy develops when someone’s immune system wrongfully identifies a substance as harmful which causes your body to react. So the mother being exposed or consuming a potential allergen while pregnant has no impact on how the baby’s body will respond to that once born.

No. My mom ate a ton of peanut butter when she was pregnant with me and also gave me peanut butter as a baby and when I was 1 I suddenly had a severe reaction to it and almost died. I never outgrew it and am still severely allergic to peanuts to this day.

No we can grow into allergies or born with it no matter what. My mom always loved sea food and now is highly allergic to sea food

For me I have a slight reaction to peanuts like the ones you can get in the blue can, and a slight reaction to apple skin. Both make my throat feel itchy and like it’s scratchy. So no idea how my kids will react to foods as they grow up
