I come from a messy upbringing and as the years have gone by the longer I’m out of the house the messier and more nasty it gets as I’m not around to clean and pickup anymore. I’m due with my second baby in a few short months and my mom wants to watch my oldest (3) while I’m in the hospital delivering (single parent no SO to watch the kiddo). But over the past couple weeks I’ve been debating on even allowing my oldest over there between daycare hours and when I get off work (45 minutes max) the main of the house is clean to anybody to see but the rest of the house, sibling rooms, bathroom, spare rooms, etc are covered and littered with clothes trash old food pieces and who knows what else is hiding. I’ve debated multiple times on anonymously calling child protective services on them but they have random times where they clean it up and make their home look presentable. I’ve recently brought it to their attention that if they want my oldest there while I’m delivering that they will need to clean it up and keep it clean for a few days prior and during the entire stay of when I’m away. After this conversation they have all thrown a fit and the place has been worse and worse. Is it time I finally make the call and plan on finding someone else to watch my oldest or should I mind my own and just let them live the way they are (still finding someone to watch my oldest)

I just want what’s best for everyone but I am definitely not going to allow my oldest there longer than our normal time frame if this becomes a normal habit for them to be living in
