Is My 8 Month Calling ME Mama?

Hi, everyone!! So I have an adorable 8 Month old baby girl who has recently been saying Mama. It’s only when she’s looking at me, wants out of something (play pen), or is upset.

I was wondering if she’s calling me directly?

I tested it when she was in her high chair and I turned away. She said “mama, mama, mama” until I turned around. Then I turned away again and same results!

Tonight after I put her to bed she woke up and started crying and saying mama.

So is she calling me? Or is she just saying that and knowing someone will pop up/pay attention?
