Pain during sex

So I recently had my first time around last month and due to distance I only see my boyfriend at least once or twice a month. We had sex again this week and it’s still kinda painful going in. We even switched to non-latex condoms in hopes that it was just a reaction. Then after it burns to pee (we’re both tested and negative for everything). Is it him going too rough or will it take time to get used to? Just need some guidance here.
