Formula or breast?

My first baby was formula fed. I'm now pregnant with my second and looking in to possibly breastfeeding this time.

Never hurts to just try! You can likely get a pump through insurance too. I just have formula on hand at home in case :)

So I have done it 100% both ways. 
First baby was bottle formula fed. 
Second was breastfed for 2 years. 
Due with #3 in May. 
One is not better than the other. There are so many things I loved and hated about both. 
My husband preferred bottle feeding but that’s because he felt like he missed out with our second not getting to participate in that part of it. 
One thing I cannot stand is people using the arguments that #1 breastfeeding is better because it’s more convenient and #2 breastfeeding is cheaper. Because let me tell you neither of these were true in my case. 
My milk did not come in, at all, after having baby #2. Nothing convenient about it. I had to supplement, pump 12 times a day, take prescription medication, supplements and see lactation consultants and doctors all the time. 
In terms of cost, I had to rent a hospital grade pump, pay for lactation consultants, supplements, my prescription, feeding tubes for SNS, Etc. The first 2 months cost us about 1000$. 
It was an amazing experience and I will try breastfeeding baby #3 again. I just feel like a lot of people push unrealistic expectations of both sides.

BF both of mine. My first stopped 4 months before his 3rd bday & I was due to have his brother on his 3rd bday. BREASTFEEDING IS A JOB!  An exhausting sometimes painful sometimes It costs you money definitely time job. But it’s worth It. Once you and baby get used to It it’s definitely easier. It’s quick. It’s convenient. If you don’t pump it’s free. And there is no argument, breast is best for your baby. “Fed is best” is bs and I’ll say It all day long. Fed is essential. Formula can never be what Breastmilk is. I’m not knocking anyone for what they chose but that’s the facts.

I have done both and I loveeee breastfeeding. I couldn't do it with my first but I tried again the second time and he will be 1 next month and no stopping soon. It's free, the bond it creates is amazing and it's nutritionally better for him and that is a fact. But I am thankful for formula, because that's what fed my first and he is a healthy and smart 3 year old now

I did a combination of both and it worked out well. I knew I could take a break or shower if needed. Hubby and I both got the bonding that comes with feeding. I hope to go that route again if I end up with a second

Tried with both my kids. Failed with both my kids lol. Breastfeeding is a struggle for me. My first was a lazy nurser and ended up losing a lot of weight so I had to supplement and then just switched to all formula around 6 weeks. Second was a great nurser but has a milk protein intolerance/allergy and honestly I was too lazy to go through my diet and cut everything out (kind of selfish of me but 🤷‍♀️) so I just put her on a special formula. The only time I regret not breastfeeding is when I have to wash bottles lol

I tried to breastfeed in the hospital but my daughter wouldn’t latch (she had a lip tie and tongue tie which we didn’t find out until 3 months) but at a year old my daughter stopped taking bottles and only went for the boob. We’re at 12 months and she still only takes the boob. But the benefits of breastfeeding are good. You save money on formula. But it’s your choice mama ♥️￼
