What does trying for a year mean if you’ve had a miscarriage?

Hey all,

My husband and I have been TTC for awhile and were ecstatic when we found out we were pregnant this past September. We unfortunately suffered a miscarriage at 12w. My question is we are approaching the year mark for when we initially started trying which indicates seeking addition medical help...fertility specialist. But because we successfully got pregnant does that clock start over to when we started trying again?
