Guarding your heart is not using condoms. A baby isn't a punishment, it's a gift. And you aren't pathetic. Girls are taught to stay away from pregnancy and stds but not to stay away from white lies and blue eyes. If sex was taught realistically and you knew boys bought sex with love and girls bought love with sex, would you of had a better outcome in life? If so its time to change the younger generation

How would they be taught? 
If you're saying there should be better sex education in schools, I'm all for it.
But if you're coming from a more spiritual/emotional way, then I think that's a little idealistic.

I'm a firm advocate for non-abstinence only education.

It would have definitely made me feel a lot better about my sexual assault. My religion teaches to wait until we're married and anything outside of marriage is a sin. I gave up on abstinence because it caused so much personal and spiritual guilt. As for school, that's why most teens get pregnant: the school shoves inaccurate, biased information down their throats and they go into it blindly.

In my opinion, people shouldn't guard their heart, that's how they lose out on certain life experiences and lessons. There are some things that shouldn't be taught and should be experienced instead.
