After college interviews
So I am a new graduate I graduated in December and I had to take a test to be licensed as a registered nurse in my test.I took my NCLEX and passed yayy. Anyways for the past 3 weeks I've been submitting my resume and having interviews and seems as if no one want to hire a new graduate nurse since I have less than one year of experience. It is frustrating, I get that it's a liability and everything, but at some point every nurse was a new graduate nurse with no experience. Also idk I think it's just me because at this point all my friends have gotten into nurse residency programs. I don't know if it's the way I'm interviewing or what but I've tried doing the interviewing counseling with my school and mock interviews with my mom's friends ( that are charge nurses that actually interview people) and they all said that I did good 🤔. I feel like I honestly don't do bad in interviews but it just sucks and I've exhausted all the nurse residency programs interviews and I'm pulling for straws honestly. And without a residency program it's hard to get an interview as a new nurse anywhere during coronavirus and idk it feels shitty like no one will give me a chance. I know some places that would hire me like a nursing home but from my clinical experience in nursing home I know it's a lawsuit waiting to happen because the RNs are literally in charge of everything and everyone in there and I would not get the proper training because ( places like nursing homes don't have the proper resources Especially during CORONAVIRUS) and I honestly can't do that and feel ethically sound.my cousins and mom are nurses and they both say their hospitals aren't hiring simply to protect new nurses and not traumatize us or whatever but we basically signed up for this and I already know the risk plus I'm starting to have to pay student loans and my car payment you know so there are other things and idk I feel like I hit a dead end does anything have suggestions .sorry this is so long I am ranting and I'm pretty frustrated overall..
