How to go from formula feeding to EBF?

Is this even possible? I also have low milk supply so if I try doing that, won’t the baby starve?

I didn’t start breastfeeding till my baby was 3 weeks old. My milk took a long time to fully come in.
I was pumping one day then just decided to give it a try and she latched on immediately.
I was pumping and doing formula before that.

Are you going from formula to breastmilk, or formula to breastfeeding?
With formula, mix some breastmilk with formula. Swap an oz at a time until fully using breastmilk.
With breastfeeding, nipple shields will help at first as they mimic the teat of a bottle, and once baby gets the hang of it you can try getting rid of them. I advise slowly building up your supply, possibly try breastfeeding for comfort inbetween scheduled feeds. Breastmilk is supply and demand, so the more you do it, the more your supply will increase (in most cases).

How old is baby? Mine I had to supplement both times. My son it never happened and I quit after 6 weeks. My daughter is 11 weeks and EBF from week 3. Baby needs to be on breast a lot. That’s mainly what can possibly make it work. I would talk to a LC but I’m going to figure you’ll have to offer breast, offer formula, then pump, to help get your supply up.
