Too many supplements?
I would like to supplement my TTC journey with some natural options while the doctors try figure out what's wrong that my husband and I can't conceive.
I am saving up for a Laparoscopy, my husband is going for his yearly semen analysis to see if there's been any change later on this week.
So far we've had no luck with Clomid, our doctor noted there was no live semen in a post-coital test we did last week (hence the suggestion to do a Laparoscopy).
Anyway, so I have recently bought the following and they're being delivered later this week (I've tried Myo-Inositol six months, two different brands with no change at all so we're trying other stuff) :
Husband -
Prelox (prescribed)
Cortisol Blocker (prescribed)
Vitamin C & D (general to keep the immune system up)
Vitamin Bs (general to keep the energy levels up)
Me:
Iron (prescribed, anemic)
Vitamin C & D (general to keep the immune system up)
Probiotics (in case it's my CM killing the sperm, that my pH levels are off)
Evening Primrose Oil (CD1-CD13, to keep the environment and CM nice and heathly)
Resveratrol (supposed to boost ovarian function, I have low AMH levels)
Does that sound like overkill? We've also made lots of lifestyle changes since the New Year, eating more fish, switching from white to browns, switching from full cream to low fat dairy, cutting down on red meat, cutting down on takeout, incorporating more "superfoods" to our diet plus my husband has cut down on drinking alcohol and energy drinks.
