When to stop TTC?

We’ll be at 3 years TTC in June. I’ve had multiple tests done on me that all say I’m fine. We live in the Caribbean and there’s no where close to check my husband, but he has a kid from a previous relationship so chances are he’s fine. At what point would you personally decide to accept that creating a life isn’t in the cards?

I personally wouldn’t, I don’t think I could, being a mom was all I ever wanted. I tried for 2 1/2 years before getting pregnant. Don’t give up hope. I hope you get pregnant soon ❤️❤️

We decided that 5 years is our stopping point. It is very personal. No one can make that choice besides you and your partner.

I know that it’s easy to think he’s fine because he fathered a child before. However men make new sperm every 3 months. So it’s very possible the sperm he was making for the living child was different than the sperm he is making now.
Have they tested your amh and FSH? Follicle count scan? Lining check? Thyroid? Vitamin d?

i finally got one to stick the month we decided to stop. it was terrifying at first tbh. we had two MC in a row and 8 MC all together within a year. our decision to stop was strictly for our mental health, i couldn’t take the loss and my husband couldn’t take having to care for me during it. it was a very hard/heartbreaking discussion. then when we found out i was pregnant the first few months were full of anxiety. i’ve always wanted a big family but i don’t think i could survive TTC again. it’s a very personal decision to keep trying
