Need to pump if baby sleeping thru the night?

Hi all, so I have a 2 month old. Blessedly she only wakes once a night to breastfeed. As she gets a little older and starts sleeping through the night, will I still have to wake in the night to pump? If I don’t will I become engorged and reduce my milk supply? 
Mamas of older babies, how did this work out for you? Thanks!

If you drop one feed, you only lose the supply for that one feed, your entire supply won’t drop. You may have sore boobs for a couple of nights, and might be helpful to have express overnight a couple of times just for relief, but if you pump, you’ll need to continue to pump every night. Your body will adjust to not need to produce milk for that feed quite quickly

I stopped pumping as soon as my LO was sleeping through the night. I thought that if I were nursing then I’d be “skipping” that session anyways so I felt comfortable skipping pumping as well. Plus I wanted to get more sleep lol

Mine at 7 months still wakes up 2-3 times a night to feed. However it was 3-5 times and I’ve noticed my supply has definitely decreased. She also eat purée later now too.  I don’t believe your supply would stay the same if you aren’t feeding for 8 or so hours at night since it’s demand based. I would ask a lactation coach.

I started with 7 pumps and day and dropped down to 4, my daughter is almost 6 weeks and I’m still pumping 40 oz a day. I don’t pump between 11PM-7AM and my boobs have adjusted. The first few days I woke up very engorged and would pump about 10 oz that first morning session. Now my boobs don’t get engorged and I pump about 13 oz that first morning session.
