Nearly 8 weeks postpartum and have a faint pregnancy test, could this be left over hcg?

Toke a pregnancy test this afternoon and the line is very faint on first response, I don’t know if this is left over hcg? I’ve read the hcg hormone should be out of your body at 2-5 weeks pp.. yes we have had unprotected sex and I knew exactly what I was doing but it toke so long to conceive our baby now that I didn’t think it would happen so fast (if I am pregnant). Haven’t had a period since birth.. line is faint but there.. is this old hcg or new? Any other ladies experienced this?

I would really doubt it was leftover, but I’ve heard you’re more fertile after having a baby. Yay for Irish twins?? 😜

I’d be surprised if you still had hcg left at 8 weeks. Maybe a doctors appointment could tell you for sure?

I highly doubt its the same hcg from your birth. Id honestly call and make an appointment because you are hella fertile after having a baby

I got pregnant 7 weeks PP, and found out I was pregnant at 11 weeks PP, so it’s possible. I took a test about 5 weeks PP just to see, and it came back clearly negative. I would wait a few days and test again. But it’s definitely a possibility.

I took a pregnancy test one week pp, just out of curiosity (definitely not having sex), it was completely negative.
