Breast milk supply!

So my milk came in day 2, by day 3 my breasts were so engorged and painful and bub couldn’t even drain one side.

I’m day 9 PP today and my breasts feel empty!! How can I go from leaking non stop and feeling like bursting to ridiculously soft.

Bub has only been feeding roughly 4 hourly through the day and sometimes sleeps 6-7 hours at night. My midwife said this is fine for demand feeding but I think it’s killed my supply! Anyone have a similar experience??
