I started having contractions today around noon and we decided about 2:30 to head towards The hospital. My contractions were about 3 minutes apart at that time but not super painful. So I was still trying to convince myself that they were Braxton Hicks. The doctor figured out I have a bacterial infection (caused by an overgrowth of normal vaginal bacteria) that is causing me to have early contractions. They did send us on home because they monitored for an hour and a half and the contractions never got closer together. So they felt confident that baby boy was staying put for a while. I did get a prescription that will get rid of the infection and should also help with the contractions. I would appreciate your prayers as the contractions are still happening and not very fun 😳 but hopefully they’ll calm down overnight! This little dude needs to bake for about 10 more weeks for me to feel comfortable with him being born!
