Measuring a week behind??

Question

I went into my first u/s thinking I was 7 wks based on ovulation date (since I ovulated way late the month I got pregnant), only to find out I was measuring 6 wks. Anyone else off on dating when you know when you ovulated? Perhaps just measuring small/late implantation/still really early in the pregnancy?? Looking for honest answers. I've already miscarried once so I know it's a possibility. Thanks all!

One week ago I went for a 3rd ultrasound and thought I had reached 8w1 but my doc told me that my baby was measuring 7 weeks exactly. Nonetheless, 4 days before, I could already hear his heart :) I couldn't know when I ovulated exactly because my last period were in fact when I miscarried

My ob told me that it's based on the length of your cycle . My cycle is 31 days so I didn't ovulate like most women do . I ovulated later so I was 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks when I went.

I would be 8 weeks 1 day today going by my last period but I had an ultrasound today which showed me at 7 weeks 5 days. I know I ovulated around cycle day 23 as I was temping and using digital ovulation tests. Baby's heart rate was 148bpm which they were happy with.

I am very confused about this too. My doctor said (this was about a week ago) that I was measuring at 6 when my calculation had us at 7. I cannot be certain of the date of ovulation but I am pretty certain especially since we timed it and my husband was away on business literally the following 5 days.  Doctor said another factor is when it implants after the ovulation so he assumes mine implanted late. Maybe that is a consideration in your case?

You have to measure from your last period since theres no way to know exactly when you concieved hun
