Baby heart beat @ appointments?

When is it that the doctors start checking the baby’s heart beat? I remember with my first child , at some point the doctor would let me hear the heart beat every appointment. I forgot how many weeks in that starts. Does anyone remember ?

My first OB appointment at 11 weeks they only did an ultrasound but we saw baby wiggling and saw the heart beating. My next appointment was at 16 weeks and that’s when they used the Doppler for the first time.

I heard my babies heartbeat at 6 weeks. It was a 115 bpm. 🥰

I’m going on for my 8 week appointment on Thursday, will they let me see/hear the heartbeat at all? Did you ladies get to see or hear it that early?

My OB wouldn’t use a Doppler to hear the heartbeat until I was 14 weeks, before that baby could be too small to hear and cause more anxiety.

Ultrasound first until later most doctors don't use doppler for heartbeat until after 12 weeks since baby is so small and under the pelivic bone

They wouldn’t let me hear it at my 10 week appt because she was soo small and didn’t want to send the sound waves to her quite yet. But when I went into my next month appt, I got to bear her heart and it was going!
