Sleep training?

I know it’s controversial but I’ve decided to sleep train at 6 months. He still sleeps in his bassinet and he’s getting to the point where he won’t fit in it anymore. He’s quite the big boy. Lol. Well, when I do sleep train I’ll also be transferring him to his crib in his own room. The thing is, I’m a ftm and have no idea what method to use. The other issue is that my LO has some lungs. He can cry for a hot minute. This is also the reason why he only naps in my arms 🤦🏻‍♀️
What have y’all tried or are going to try for sleep training? And how long did it take?

Ftm as well and I tried a few of the gentler sleep training methods and unfortunately none of them worked except the cry it out method which I absolutely hate but it’s working so far. I just researched different methods and picked one I thought would work best for us. I tried the Ferber method but every time I’d check in on him it would just upset him even more once I left. Also tried another method that involved picking him up and putting him back down which didn’t work at all whatsoever. Basically my repeated presence was just stimulating him too much. You just have to try different things until you find something that works. There’s no one size fits all sleep training method unfortunately.

I’m using the peaceful sleeper as well. I’m already learning a lot from her insta but I’m also going to buy her sleep training class.
