Blood clots in period

My Dr took me off birth control due to blood clots being found in my lungs. My period started a few days after going off birth control and it’s been 10 days since and it hasn’t gone away. I have also noticed I am starting to pass blood clots that are quite bigger than usual. I was thinking my period would be getting lighter now but that’s not happening. It’s not bad heavy but it’s still like I am in the beginning of my period not the end. Also I am on blood thinners. Below are clots I passed in 2 consecutive days
