Since the pandemic, how have you been doing birthday parties?

My husbands aunt has a son that just turned 3. His birthday party is Saturday. I’m in a debate about going especially since strangers to us will be attending. Maybe I sound crazy but I don’t feel comfortable going with MY 3 year old... not to mention if my son were to get covid or any sickness, we’d be in the hospital with his asthma attacks.

Is that a genuine excuse to not go?
