Fighting diapers

Does anyone's little ones absolutely HATE diaper changes? Like my little man screams and kicks and cries. He doesn't have a rash or anything. I don't know why he hates it so much. Any tips on how to handle it? Its hard to watch bc it hurts me. But it makes it close to impossible to change him
