Benefits of feeding baby directly from breast?

To be honest I really dread pumping. Nursing feels way better and my son empties out my breasts quickly but I feel like pumping takes longer and I’m lucky to even pump out 4 ounces per boob. So anyway is it ok to just stick to nursing is it better for the baby?

Is there a reason ur pumping? If u stay home with baby then there’s no need to pump at all. I never pumped Once and I breastfed for a year and a half.

In addition to what the others have said, by feeding direct from breast baby's saliva interacts with your nipple to produce the antibodies your baby needs at that specific time. This interaction also lets your body know if baby needs more hydration or more fat in the milk.
