Sign of labor?

Is it true the baby moves significantly less right before labor? I can feel her moving still, but not at all like she’s been the last few weeks. I’m 37 weeks. She slowed down around 30 weeks, my OB said it was because she was head down and didn’t need to move so much. And now she’s slowed down even more. Should I be worried? Or is this normal?

From someone who’s experienced stillbirth, I would like to say that no it is not normal. The baby is not supposed to move less, BUT the movement is supposed to be different. It’s true there is less room for baby so I understand why people says yea it’s normal but the difference is that  instead of obvious kicks and thrusts, it’s more like wiggles and turning motions instead, so please if you’re experiencing significantly less motion, call your doctor.
