Plan B during ovulation?

Question

So I had unprotected sex with my bf and he came in me. I took the pill within 12 hours of the unprotected sex. However, I heard that when you are ovulating, Plan B becomes ineffective. I do have a Kyleena IUD as well so I don’t really get “periods”. I have a week or two with light bleeding but never real periods. How would I know with an IUD if I am ovulating or does that not apply for me?

Why would you take plan b if your have a IUD 
That’s the whole point of your IUD your protected

You don’t take a Plan B if you have an IUD. It does not matter if they pull out or not.

You should really know how your birth control works. 
Kykeena doesn’t stop ovulation. Instead it works by thickening cervical mucus, immobilizing sperm, and makes your uterus less hospitable to sperm or to a fertilized egg if sperm does reach it. 
You still ovulate and would need to look for ovulation symptoms and signs to know when. However, you have birth control in place. That protects you from pregnancy. Plan B will delay ovulation and either jump start bleeding or delay it. 
Really, you didn’t need Plan B.
