Braxton hicks ???

Question

Anyone think braxton hicks could cause real contractions? I’ve been having a lot of braxton hicks today and suddenly this started happening :/

When I went into labour with my first son I started having Braxton Hicks throughout the evening which was completely normal for me. Eventually they started to get stronger and turn painful and we went to the hospital! I’m a firm believer in “better to be safe than sorry” - especially when it comes to preterm delivery! 
I should note that I had been in and out of preterm labour throughout most of my 3rd trimester and had my son at 35 weeks. But either way, if you’re feeling uncertain then by all means go in to get checked to be safe!

I just had this happen to me on Monday. This is my 3rd pregnancy so I knew what BH contractions feel like. I started having them around noon on Monday. By 2:30pm we were headed to the hospital because they got 3 min apart and painful. I’m glad I went because the doctor ran some tests and determined my body was fighting an infection and it was causing me to have contractions! They started me on an antibiotic and I’ve been much better since then. Still have my BH contractions from time to time, but nothing serious since Monday night 🙌🏼 I hate to think what could have happened if I didn’t go in so soon and just tried to ride it out at home.

I was in labor with my daughter for two weeks. Started out as Braxton hicks, like you are experiencing. I'd get a pelvic and have them monitor you for a while. But, its still completely possible you'll make it to your due date. Try drinking water and laying on your side when you start getting them.
