Just been told I failed the fasting diabetes test as my sugar levels were too high. I’m being referred to the diabetes clinic in a few days time. Has anyone else been diagnosed with gestational diabetes? This is my third pregnancy and the first time I’ve had it. They’ve said there is a risk of a large baby but strangely I’m being closely monitored for reduced fetal growth as my 2 children were both low birth weights. It’s all a bit overwhelming as I am already high risk due to a previous blood clot in my last pregnancy and I am on fragmin and aspirin for that. Feel like my body is plotting against me!
