None of my family are racist but if they were then most definitely. I’ve cut ties with one extremely toxic family member

yes ! my dad is mixed and my mom is white. my grandpa (moms dad) was always racist towards my dad and me but gave us a “pass” because we’re light skinned (me more than my dad). he’d always say horrid things but what made me officially stop talking to him was what he did to my first boyfriend when i was 14. he was black and i brought him to memorial day, immediately my grandpa was making disgusted faces and whispering. my boyfriend was being so nice about it too, reassuring ME that i didn’t have to be mad and to “leave it alone”. what got me is we were in the pool and my grandpa yelled “what are you doing letting that n***** in the pool with us ?!” i told him to leave and to never ever talk to me again. he left, pissed off, and never talked to me ever again. he’d make it a point to show he wasn’t talking to me, have his wife hand me the holiday cards for my siblings but not for me. everyone begged me to forgive him, my mom tried making me break up with my boyfriend so my grandpa would talk to me again. never did, he passed away a few years later.

Yes. Especially when they said something to my son. (Sand n word) “great uncle” 
And when my “uncle” kept telling my bf was using me for sex. When matter of fact my uncle was stealing from me. 
I haven’t spoken to neither since.
