Covid test on kids

I have a 5yr old and 2yr old that need to get a rapid covid nose swap test. It is for traveling purposes ( it's an emergency trip not a vacation). Any experience with your littles doing these? I've always heard that they hurt and I really don't want to put them through this but other test in my area are not rapid.
