Hey guys, I would be grateful if you could give me some advice.

Me and my husband recently moved to Texas from UK and we don’t really know many friends/family here.

By the grace of God we just found out that we’re pregnant! (4 weeks today)

We are really excited but don’t know how to go about things. We have a primary care physician but they aren’t OBGYN.

I assume I look for a good OBGYN (reviews and all) and book an appointment?

I tried ringing one doctors office this morning. They said that they can see me at 7 weeks for a scan but can’t have my husband or anyone else with me. I asked about blood and they said they don’t do any and asked just to go to primary care doctor if we think we need any.

Is this what usually what happens? In UK because we have the NHS it’s all a bit different. I assumed we have to do some general blood works as soon as we get pregnant and get some general advice.

Also I really wanted my husband to be with me during my first scan. Is this the case all hospitals during COVID time? 😢
