Ob appointment every two weeks beginning 16 weeks?

Hi ladies!
I’m 41, pregnant naturally and I have no complications or conditions that I’m aware of. I did the second blood test today and just had my ultrasound at 16 weeks. The nurse informed me that my doctor wanted to see me in two weeks. Is it normal for an OB to want to see a woman every two weeks if she is over 35? I guess I’m a little worried that he saw some thing on the ultrasound but didn’t tell me.

I'm 40 and I have not personally been through this. I'm currently pregnant 9w4d and I won't go every 2 weeks until 32 weeks I think they said. Just like my previous pregnancies. I'd call the office and speak to the nurse to find out why you need to go every 2 weeks. If something is being monitored they have to tell you their reasoning.

It’s up to the dr when u come back. I get extra sono appts just cuz of age.

I’m 41 and this didn’t happen to me.
Doctor saw me every month up until 36 weeks then it went to every week. I’m 38 weeks now.

It's just our old age haha I'm 36, and 25 weeks along. Once I have my 28 week appt, then I switch to going in every 2 weeks (only because of my age). If there was something to discuss, about your scan, your doctor would've said by now.

Probably just age related. I’m seen every 4 weeks and am 36 yo (25 weeks). I have gd and high blood pressure and after 30 weeks they’ll have me come in twice a week for extra monitoring due to the higher risks
