Ok wow I wasn’t expecting the amount of hate my last post got. Let me clarify, when I was 14 I moved into my parents guest house and moved out and got my own house at 18. My husband was emancipated at 16. My now 21 year old moved into the attic when she was 11 and she bought her own home and moved out at 18. Her sister who is 13 took over the attic when she moved out. The upstairs rooms are all filled with my daughters resell business. My son moved into the guest house when he was 14 and is currently 16 now. He trades shoes online and his old bedroom is occupied with inventory. My 11 year old lives in the basement with her 7 year old brother and the extra room down there is what she’s currently using for her shop. And my 3 year old sleeps in his normal room. The reason why I asked is because the shed would still be on closed property but not connected like the guest house. And he’s we’ve already added onto the house and that space turned into my 7 year olds golf practice room. My 13 year old decided she wants to do hair so we turned the extension into a home salon so she can practice when she starts her hair credits in August

Y’all might not agree but that’s how we choose to raise our family. We want them to be independent and trust me they are still looked after and protected but have y’all truly forgotten what it’s like being a kid??? That’s why we let them do what they do. We still have dinner as a family everyday. We still have family meetings and make our kids do chores and write 10 day goals, but we want them to be independent by 18
